Just to clear things up, that’s me on the left. William (Will) Reed Simmons. And to satisfy your curiosity, our family dog’s name is Penny. I have lived in Pontotoc, Mississippi all of my life, but I am just now seeing what a great town it is- even though everyone seems to know everything about everybody. My family is amazing. My parents have always put my two sisters, Jordan and Amy, and me first. They will sacrifice anything so that we can have what we need- and most of the time want. My grandparents are wonderful. They have been to most every soccer game, band concert, birthday party, and church performance. Not to leave out my aunts and uncles and cousins, y’all have had character-forming influences on my life as well!I am also very grateful that my parents wanted us to be well-rounded and cultured. Because of that, I have a breadth of interest. I have traveled from New York to Washington D.C. to Hawai’i and a lot of places in between. I’ve been to Mexico and Italy. (It is hard to beat Disney World, though!) I am also very thankful I was exposed to the arts. I play the piano, violin, drums, and a little guitar. I like watching musicals and performing in them myself. I like to write and paint/draw, and I am very interested in photography. And then I have my more outlandish idiosyncrasies; I have my motorcycle and pilot’s license!

I shouldn’t ever have to worry about being overweight, but I like to keep in shape by playing tennis, walking our dog around Pontotoc, and the occasional round of golf. (Occasional as in once every few years.)

I love fried okra and sweet potato casserole.

I am an extremely determined, driven person. I give 110% to everything that I do. I do nothing halfway. I am a diehard perfectionist and extreme optimist. Some people think I think I have to be the best at everything. And, well, that is for the most part true. It’s mostly the effect of me striving for perfection in everything I do, though.

Somewhere along the way, I realized that I like to be in front of people talking. All eyes on me. Through flying airplanes, I realized that I love weather. Put those two together and what do you get? I am at Mississippi State right now majoring in Geoscience with a concentration in Professional Meteorology and an emphasis in Broadcast. What does that mean? I’m going to be a weatherman!

Lastly, please don’t try to set me up with anyone. I am very content being single. I will think about having a significant other after I finish my doctorate- about seven more years. On second thought, I want to have a seven-figure job first. Let’s up that to 10 years.

If you want to know any more, well, let’s do lunch sometime. Your treat.
:D
